FAQ — Tranquility Garden Rooms

Would I need planning permission?

You won’t need planning permission unless, your garden room exceeds 2.5 Metres in height, or takes up over 50 percent of your garden.

Water supply etc can also effect planning requirements.

It is always best to check with your local authority before going ahead with any installation.

Would I be able to have running water?

Yes! You can have running water installed, but you would require planning permission for the installation.

Is construction included in the price?

Yes, our price in inclusive of every element of the build.

If, however you require any extras, these will be added to the final invoice.

Are the garden rooms modular?

They are not modular, we build from raw materials on site.

How long will it take to build my garden room?

Our smaller installations take between one to two weeks to install.

The larger installations take between two to three weeks.

Will it affect the value of my property?

Yes! On average, garden rooms can add around 5%-15% to a properties valuation.

For example, a £250,000 home could add between £25,000 - £37,500 by having a year round usable, well designed garden room installed.
